Background & History

Alla brings combined six years of tax controversy experience, two of which in an attorney capacity. Alla was previously an associate at a boutique tax defense practice, focusing on a wide variety of IRS tax controversy topics, including collection enforcement defense, employment tax, Trust Fund Recovery Penalty, penalty abatements, innocent spouse relief requests, and international tax. In this capacity, she worked across the majority of the IRS units and beyond, from examinations and collections to the United States Tax Court.

Alla also represented taxpayers before Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia taxing authorities in collections defense, audits, responsible officer liability assessments as well as sales and use tax cases. Alla’s experience includes tax litigation in federal and state courts. Alla earned her Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Affairs from George Mason University.
