Amy serves as a Senior Associate Attorney within our tax controversy practice group, where she advocates for individuals and businesses navigating intricate tax controversies. Her diverse caseload includes representing clients through federal and state tax audits, managing bank levies and wage garnishments, and resolving matters involving employment taxes and trust fund recovery penalties. Additionally, Amy assists clients with penalty abatements, offers in compromise, innocent spouse claims, voluntary disclosures, and tax return preparer penalties.
Amy holds a J.D. from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and obtained her LL.M. in Taxation from the Boston University School of Law. While completing her legal education, she gained valuable insight as a Legal Intern with the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel and participated as a member of the St. Thomas More-Loyola Law Inn of Court. Today, she continues to engage with national tax policy through her current three-year appointment as a member of the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC).
