Sunny Shim

Sunny Shim joined Frost Law as an associate in September 2022, specializing in tax controversy and white collar criminal defense. Before she came to the firm, she clerked for Judge Marcus Z. Shar at the Baltimore City Circuit Court, Judge Michael Wachs at the Anne Arundel Circuit Court, and Judge Melanie Shaw at the Court of Special Appeals.

Sunny graduated from The George Washington University Law School in 2020. During law school, she was the Senior Managing Editor for the Public Contract Law Journal and was a distinguished moot court competitor, being ranked as one of the best oralists and brief writers in the Rothwell Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition. She also interned for Judge Tanya Chutkan at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and externed at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Outside of work, Sunny enjoys spending time with friends and family, including exploring the museums in D.C.
